Welcome to Word-Filled Wednesday, hosted this week by Penny at Pennyraine. Be sure to stop by her blog for more visual inspiration from scripture.
I've always had this thing for red hair. Probably because I don't have it. My hair is brown, curly, and VERY coarse. You'd be surprised at all the "stuff" I have to put into it to make it look halfway decent in my eyes.
But God gave me my hair, and he knows every one of them. So why do I worry about it?
(yeah - I still snuck in this redhead. Can't help it! LOL)
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31

And I'm always trying to color the red highlights out of my hair!
ReplyDeleteI suppose we should be grateful for what God gave us.
I'm so glad He loves me even when I whine, "Why did you put red in my hair? Wwhhhyyyy????" :*)
I have always wanted red hair too! I think it is so pretty. But I am so glad God knows every hair on my head (even the gray ones) and loves me anyway. Happy WFW
ReplyDeleteGreat word!!!
ReplyDeleteI have course dark hair like yours, I blow it out and flat iron it.
Too much work!! ha ha...
Blessings to you this WFW♥
I love this -- reminding me that God will always care for me because I am worth more to Him than a sparrow! Thank you for the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww, I may have that red hair you've always wanted, but you've got those curls that I've always wanted! LOL. Love your blog and the wonderful treats of Word-filled Wednesdays and Monday Manna. It's like finding a chocolate on my pillow! Thanks Jo.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne,
ReplyDeleteMy husband had auburn hair and several red headed siblings. His mother had strawberry blonde hair too. But not a one of my children or grandchildren have red hair. I have blonde hair myself with highlights to cover the silver that's starting to put in an appearance. I too am thankful that He loves me in spite of my hair colour and He has every hair numbered. Bless His name! Have a wonderful day and Happy WFW. {My first time participating.}
Blessings,
Sandi
He loves us with short hair or long, straight or curly, and the entire spectrum of colours. We are His, precious to Him because He created us. He knows every hair, every thought...
ReplyDeletePraise Him!
So inspiring.
ReplyDeleteOur God is amazing. My nephew and his wife had triplets, and the 2 little girls have red hair, like their mother.
ReplyDeletei thank God that He is in control that even our hairs are numbered. speaking of hairs, my hair is so thin and they are not too many. that's why i'm so careful when combing. i have to use hair grower hoping more hair will grow. =D
ReplyDeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteJo, I LOVE that verse! Every time I feel low, I think of that verse. It really reminds me that God is in my corner and KNOWS all my trials and tribulations and cares about me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog--and yes! Your cheer leading is helping to spur me on!! Love the pink and white pom poms, girl!
What an encouraging verse. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteOh love this! I remember my Mom reading me the Word and talking with me about it when I was younger, and when she talked about this verse--I was amazed! I remember saying "Wow" LoL.

Wonderful verse, so encouraging to see how much God values each one of us. As for hair, hmm, well, my daughter keeps pointing out that I don't seem to have much any more, so I guess they come in the easy to count category!
