Welcome to my contribution to Word-Filled Wednesday, hosted this week by Susan at Forever His. Be sure to stop by her blog for more visual inspiration from scripture.
Resting in the Lord has not been my specialty lately. In fact RESTING in general has been a bit of a challenge for me. This scene I saw made me long for rest - but what we ALL need to remember is that resting in Him does not require a serene background, or even silence. All we have to do is be still and know.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Pssalm 46:10 NIV

Paving Rough Roads With God's Presence
Resting in Him...what a perfect thought for me today Joanne. Perfect reflection...we don't need a beach or somewhere serene, we just need to find that right where we are in "His arms..."

Hey Joanne,
ReplyDeleteI struggle with this myself.
I know God truly disires for me to be "still"!

ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful pic and yes, I too want to be still before Him.

How relaxing a picture to go with the reminder that we are to relax ourselves b/c in a busy, day to day world, sometimes we can get TOO busy to hear His voice.
ReplyDeleteThis is nearly always the verse I quote when I have to write a verse on something. I love it....and since I love the water as well....this is lovely.
