Apparently, I am incredibly lacking in knowledge about several wonderful, wonderful songs related to my country's heritage. I had never heard this song until it was special music at our church yesterday, July 3. It touched me deeply. And I came to find out it's been around a while. Love finding "new to me" songs that are classics. Don't you?
Anyhow, I think this song, and video, are quite appropriate for today.
Happy Independence Day, my friends!
