As soon as I saw this picture (about ten minutes ago LOL), I KNEW I had to use it for Word-Filled Wednesday - and, of course, I knew just what verse to pick.
Praying it blesses, and convicts, you. I know it has me.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

Paving Rough Roads With God's Presence
Hey Joan,
ReplyDeleteThat is one powerful scripture and picture.
We can't forget those around us, these people are near and dear to the heart of God.
Hope your day has been a blessed one!
One of my favorite verses. It's buried in my heart for those times when I worry I'm not doing enough "things" for God. Thanks, Jo.
ReplyDeletePowerful image and words.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the promise of blessing in Isaiah 58:11 that comes as a result of caring for those in need—verses 6 and 7 are particularly appropriate.
ReplyDeleteGood one as always, Joanne.
Bonjour I'd love to congratulate you for such a terrific quality forum!
ReplyDeleteI was sure this would be a nice way to make my first post!
Sincerely,
Monte Phil

Thanks for sharing that Word today.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went through my divorce and the subsequent 3 years that followed, there were many people who came to my aid in more ways than one. This verse has special meaning for me, and it brings to mind some special people who meant so very much to me during time. Thanks. I'll say an extra prayer of blessing over them tonight.
